The Opposition Academy
Our flagship training program provides opposition leaders, party officials, and candidates with the practical skills they need to compete effectively. Modules cover campaign strategy, legislative effectiveness, communications, coalition-building, and party organization. Delivered in-person and online across multiple regions.
Opposition Performance Index
The OPI is the only global dataset tracking opposition party performance across 105 countries. Drawing on V-Dem data and the Gamboa Strategic Framework, it gives donors, researchers, and practitioners a rigorous basis for comparing opposition strength and democratic health worldwide.
Research & Publications
We produce original research on opposition party strategy, democratic backsliding, diaspora engagement, and electoral systems. Our publications are freely available to practitioners, donors, and academics. Key datasets and methodology documents are available in our document library.
Country & Regional Programs
We run active in-country programs in Bangladesh, Myanmar, Cambodia, Uganda, South Africa, Georgia, Colombia, Brazil, and Costa Rica — providing direct technical assistance, training, and strategic advice to opposition parties and civil society partners.
