OI: Politics is a necessary if potentially destructive engagement between those who seek to rule and those who seek to set boundaries on what is allowed. Sachs and his friends believe in the natural law tradition which underpins the scope of “rights” in the modern state. At Opposition International, we view history’s lessons as more bitter than sweet.
